CUBIC PRINTING® is a technology using specialized film to transfer printed patterns onto unlimited substrates such as plastics and metals. The specialized film is floated onto the surface of the water and using the natural pressure of water, it is possible to place patterns onto complex, three-dimensional objects. Through the limitless application areas of this technology, leading automotive manufacturers, both domestic and international have used CUBIC PRINTING®. Thus, as a “pioneer” of this water transfer technology, numerous applications have been adopted, specializing in not only automotive, but also expanding into interiors, sports equipment and other areas.

The start for CUBIC PRINTING ® came when the engineer was consulted about placing a “pattern” on a hair dryer. At the time, a printing technology for flat, level surfaces existed, but there was none for three-dimensional, complex surfaces. It was here that the continuous trial and error in a search for a new technology began.
As this continued day after day, the engineer fell ill and one night, when trying to place powdered medicine into an “oblate” (gel wrap) for swallowing, accidentally dropped the “oblate” into the cup of water. Frantically trying to fish out the gel-like “oblate”, the engineer was surprised to discover it neatly wrapped around his finger and thus the method for three-dimensional printing was born and the beginnings of water transfer printing. |
